Even though in our case there was a bit of a language barrier as we don't speak French and their English is not the best either. Also having breakfast is a very nice option. Maybe just one suggestion: you can put less jams, but add a few pieces of some basic veggies. The room itself is quite basic, but it's enough for overnight. The dog is just the best!

The room has real character. It is clean and of a good size. The owner is extremely helpful and obliging, and provides good local information; though if you can speak a bit of French (as I can), it will help a great deal. The breakfast is great. The location is very good, bit in the centre of Livarto

Located deep in the countryside of Normandy, this old manor house dates from at least the 14th century. Eclectic furnishings. Friendly and knowledgeable proprietor. Added bonus if you can speak French since he knows a lot about local history. Makings for self-prepared continental breakfast in a refurbished 16th-Century pigeonhouse (!). You should arrive in daylight; it's best to use Google Maps along the small country roads. Highly recommended if you are a flexible, patient, and adventurous traveler who likes something different. Visit nearby historical Orbec and dine at L'Orbequoise restaurant.

Very welcoming and everything provided to have a comfortable stay. It's a real gem and would definitely stay again. Great location also, situated in the heart of a very pretty French town, near to shops and bars. Recommended!
