朝食に一緒に出されるジャムも美味しかったですし、オプションでお願いできる家庭的な夕食は、前菜〜デザートまでフルコースで、お値打ちです。ホストのご夫妻のもてなしは暖かく、ベッドサイドには水道水ではなく、ミネラルウォーターを置いてくれている心遣いも有り難かったです。宿の周りには何もありませんが、可愛いチャペルと広大な自然が迎えてくれます。

Located deep in the countryside of Normandy, this old manor house dates from at least the 14th century. Eclectic furnishings. Friendly and knowledgeable proprietor. Added bonus if you can speak French since he knows a lot about local history. Makings for self-prepared continental breakfast in a refurbished 16th-Century pigeonhouse (!). You should arrive in daylight; it's best to use Google Maps along the small country roads. Highly recommended if you are a flexible, patient, and adventurous traveler who likes something different. Visit nearby historical Orbec and dine at L'Orbequoise restaurant.
