Lucille was a fantastic host, who was extremely responsive, gave us very detailed information about how to access her place prior to the visit, and most of all had a wonderful, warm and caring personality. Being a mother herself, she was great with our kids, and understood the family dynamic, catering to our needs perfectly. The rooms were very charming, with fantastic views over the old part of Fougeres. It’s a quick walk to the beautiful medieval castle, as well as several restaurants. Lucille gave us some great suggestions for restaurants too. The breakfast was delicious and had a great array of choices. We stayed 2 nights, and all in all, the stay was perfect. I would definitely return again. Next time I’d like to try a massage, as Lucille is also a massage therapist. Unfortunately our schedule didn’t allow for me to have one this trip.

Veronique and Claude are excellent hosts and very welcoming into their home. The rooms, reached via a spiral staircase in the ancient tower, are very tastefully decorated to a high standard, and, although the building is in the centre of town, it is a quiet and peaceful place to stay. Comfortable bed, crisp linen, hot shower = I slept like a log. The breakfast is perfect. It was an effort to leave. I pray for you both. A bientot.
