The nice owners let us move in earlier than the advertised check in time as they realized we arrived from a great distance. The premises were immaculately clean and tidy. Everything felt fresh, new and perfectly maintained. Breakfast was ample and served with care. The hosts offered refills if we ran out of something. They were not intrusive and gave us great advice as to which roads we should take in order to see the best lavender fields which were in bloom at the time. We could elect to leave our car on the street 10-15 meters from the house or on the small street right next to the entrance to the house.

On arriving at La Campagne St Lazare were immediately captivated by the beautiful house and grounds. We received a warm and friendly greeting from Isabelle who offered us an upgrade from a studio to an apartment. The ground floor apartment included an outside sitting area, in which we enjoyed our breakfast surrounded by an array of beautiful flowers, plants and trees. As there is also an onsite restaurant, we booked a table and enjoyed immensely a varied and mouth-watering vegan 3-course meal. The ingredients included vegetables, fruits and herbs grown on the land, as well as locally sourced products. Over the next few days, we enjoyed cooling down in the swimming pool. In the evenings we walked around the Biodiversity trail, experiencing the smell of lavender and taking in nature. We both loved the environmental values of La Campagne St Lazare as well as the location, and we will most certainly come back again.

We loved the charming typical french country house type of cottages (has all together only 4 guesthouses) which make it quiet, familial & more enjoyable 😍 we had a wonderful little terrace to ourselves, a big pool to cool off & a french homemade with love & detail prepared breakfast from the host Joel herself 🙏🏼. Definitely recommend & already looking forward to coming back for a Déjá vu 😍❣️🌸
