The room was huge and nicely decorated with all the green colors. Very quiet location. We got there last minute for the Tour the France and the owner was communicating very well. The big extra living room and the nice bathroom (not in the room but really nice and filled with details like folded robes and tissues) gave us the feeling of space and privacy. The breakfast was the best I have had in France. Loved the Japanese elements in the decoration, very peaceful.

Such a lovely property. We were very happy with our choice of accommodation on a very brief visit to the Rennes area. We found the hosts exceptionally friendly, and we were very relaxed in the lovely sitting room and breakfast areas. We will definitely book a longer stay at Maison d`hotes les Escures when we visit the area again.

Exceptional Chateaux in rural setting. Interior has been totally renovated and tastefully decorated with modern and period pieces. Beautiful environment with space to explore if you have time. Charming host who couldn't have done more for us, spoke English too which is very helpful. Breakfast in the largest room with huge exposed beams for the ceiling and glorious artifacts from French history. It was like being transported back in time. We are looking forward to our next visit.
