Our host Maria was very welcoming, friendly & helpful - it really felt like we went to visit our own family back home - a home away from home! They have a beautiful backyard with sheeps, ducks & chickens - our little toddler loved running around. Her place is child-friendly - she allowed our little one to play with her grandchildren's toys, bicycle, swing & the slide. We enjoyed every bit of our stay, Maria was very kind to allow us to use her kitchen from time to time whenever we needed. On the second day, she even remembered to ask us if we would like to change our towels, we thought that was very thoughtful of her! Bathroom had shower gel, hair dryer, shampoo, hair gel, cottons to remove make-up etc. Shower spray force was soft & had hot water throughout the day. It is very close to Folembrey motor race track. We stop over in Picardy when travelling between France and England and we love the area around Coucy le Chateau. The Chateau du Mont Guny has an incredible location and has been wonderfully redecorated. It is not especially cheap, but you are paying for a perfect calm rural setting, lovely rooms, fabulous views and a terrace for breakfast and evenings. Very strongly recommended indeed.
