Gorgeous!!! The hosts, Phil and Emilio, have beautifully restored their home that dates back to at least the 1600's. It's a spotless, meticulous and really amazing place worthy of being a destination on its own right.

After a very warm welcome by Karin, Jan and Chica, the dog of the house, we were lead through the beautiful and huge garden. After the walk through olive trees, flowers and cactus plants, we reached our our room/appartment "Mariposa" which is very well equiped and modern (electric blinds, induction cooker, rain shower, etc.) You can feel that there is a lot of passion and creativity of the owners in the furniture and decoration of the room. In front of the appartment, there is a patio where we would eat breakfast, another highlight of our stay: each morning, a picknick basket was placed there, neatly filled with a delicious breakfast. While having breakfast, we were able to watch and listen to the birds (we counted at least 6 different species), and occasionally observe a squirrel. The garden around the house is amazing and due to the hot weather, we also enjoyed the swimming pool in the middle of it. Karin and Jan were great and attentive hosts, very down to earth and interested in our well-being. They also gave us valuable recommendations about day trips as well as restaurants in Chinchón and the surroundings of Madrid. We've had a great stay and we recommend "Los Mofletes" deeply. Next time, we will surly book at least one week.
