Authentic, beautiful old hacienda, set in delightful sloping grounds, with views to mountains either side. We had probably the best room, no 7. Lovely public rooms. Very helpful staff. Nice vibe. Excellent location. We had 4 nights and could have managed a fifth. The rim walk around the crater lake Cuicocha was one of the best day hikes in our life 10/10 wow. 5 hours solid walking. Horse riding and Condor centre also good - 8/10. Otavalo market OK 7/10 and worth going to on a Saturday but. Food was so good we didn’t bother to eat in Octavalo.

This place is just amazing! The location is perfect, surrounded by nature but just 5 min walk to the bus stop and 10 min by bus to Otavalo. Everything is clean and the shared kitchen has everything you need. The owner is a very kind person, he know a lot about the area and he prepare great breakfast. We were welcomed by Yaro Castro and his Family warmly. The pictures online are not faked including the impressive view. The casa victoria is a great place to explore Otavalo and the region. Busses to otavalo are 0,35$ and a Taxi costs around 3$. The breakfast is delicious and it was possible to add additional meals to the booking. All meals were as good as the breakfast. Yaro even offered to drive us to the local sights such as the Peguche waterfalls, the Otavalo market and nearby lakes. The cars used for such explorations (and also a possible airport taxi) make a very well maintained impression. Despite the current lack of reviews Casa Victoria offers a secure, nice and hospitable place to explore Otavalo and its surroundings.
