I had to spend the night near Houffalize on short notice and I had looked for a quiet place, a comfortable bed and a warm meal, on a reasonable budget. This place met all my expectations. The host cooked an excellent evening meal and brewed fresh tea, as I arrived on a freezing cold winter night. The host was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I wish I had a little more time to spend over there to have a decent breakfast. I would most definitily stop there again any time and recommend this place to any friendly fellow traveller.

Guests can bring their own horse which can be housed in the on-site stables. The Way Station is set in large gardens and has a barbecue area. The restaurant serves traditional food inspired on the American Wild West and has a bar with line dancing some evenings.

Nice location, close to the railway station if you would come by train, next to a tiny square where you also have an Italian restaurant with excellent pizza's. Rooms were clean and roomy, nice bathroom and I didn't hear any disturbances during the night. Despite the lack of air conditioning the room did cool down quite well at night (with the window open). Oh, and the breakfast was excellent!

The room was excellent. It was clean, tastefully furnished and comfortable. we were able to outside and catch the late afternoon sun. Breakfast was lovely. The landlady of the property offered us homemade jam and homemade bread which were lovely. Breakfast was substantial. If you are near St Vith consider this place to stay. It is good value for money. What you may need to consider is that Braunlauf does not have any restaurants or shops. If we are in the area again, we will surely stay there!
