our recent weekend stay at anno 1673 was a most delightful treat in the countryside of ertvelde... isabel & mario have built a beautiful B&B that is modern in its facilities and function with a tasteful nod to architectural design and history...the surrounding open farmland and the peacefulness makes for a very relaxing atmosphere to sit & enjoy an evening glass of wine or morning koffie... our room had everything we needed, very comfortable & spacious, and the few requests we made, were given promptly & much to our satisfaction... including dinner recommendations for il posto giusto ... so good, we ate there twice! and then, there was breakfast... fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh breads with meats, cheeses and fresh strawberries with fresh-whipped cream on top embellished with shavings of white chocolate...sinful & delicious which made for a perfect start to a great day... we enjoyed getting to know mario & isabel during our stay, and look forward to visiting again...

The hosts, Marc and Katty, were very easy to communicate with for our travels. Very warm welcome and greetings when we arrived. Gave us a tour of the house and showed us where everything was located. Asked if we had questions about anything and if everything was ok for us. Showed us their amazing garden and where we could lounge outside in the very private and cozy outdoor space. Just absolutely amazing people and amazing place to stay. There is a fridge full of drinks. Both soft drinks and good Belgium beer. Even a bottle of wine. Marc explained the different beers to us. Had a very nice sleep in a very clean and comfortable bed. Just very well kept. Beautiful!!! Marc did all the building himself and was very passionate about his work. Very impressive Craftsmanship. I can't tell you one bad thing about this place. Will be back again to visit. The delicious breakfast. Fresh!!! Homemade bread, homemade yogurt, homemade granola, fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee. Fruits, cheese , meat's. Farm fresh eggs from their chicken. I proprietari assolutamente fantastici. Disponibili e molto cordiali. Parcheggio di fronte alla casa. Posizione comoda per prendere il tram per andare in centro a Gent. Pulizia e stanza ottimo in tutto, davvero difficile da migliorare.

Siamo stati accolti all'interno della struttura dal proprietario che ci ha tenuto a spiegarci ogni singola cosa, ci ha fornito delle cartine e consigliato dei posti dove andare e/o mangiare. Lui e sua moglie sono persone gentilissime e molto solari. Per quanto riguarda la struttura, la camera è molto bella, grande con un letto molto comodo. Era molto calda. È dotata di un bagno in camera provvisto di doccia. Tutto molto pulito. Per quanto riguarda la zona, si trova leggermente fuori mano, è un quartiere residenziale molto ricco e molto tranquillo pieno di tante casette stile inglese. Per raggiungerla sono sufficienti 15-20 minuti di tram dal centro di Gand. Consiglio la struttura e, soprattutto, consiglio la città. Direi il posto più bello del Belgio. Non vedo l'ora di tornarci
