Jardín is a luxurious and beautiful location to chill in Playa Matapalo. It has a beautiful swimming pool, a fantastic garden, ideal rooms and the sea is just around the corner. Our stay started with a nice tour from Lettika. She showed us not only the beautiful location but also the animals around (sloths, macaw, monkeys). A nice welcome committee! The rooms have everything you need (good bed, hammock, fridge, bathroom, air conditioning, etc). The extensive breakfast, the swimming pool and the help of Lettika will allow you to relax completely. The only small drawback is that you are not directly on the beach. (You'll be there in less than a minute) That immediately creates a quiet environment. Due to an error in our booking (by us) we were the next day at another hotel in the same village, where you got a lot less luxury for the same amount. Playa Matapalo is also the perfect place to chill on the beach without too many tourists around you. This in contrast to, for example, Quepos or Dominical. These locations are quickly accessible by car if you want to take a look. The basics are there, such as a supermarket, restaurants and a surf school. Perfect!

Close proximity to the beach and sea, nice and quiet in the forest. we enjoyed seeing the monkeys and many other animals, mango and coconut trees and Swimming in the pool during tropical rain. Juan Carlos was really helpful. Make sure you arrange Horse riding on the beach with Angelo which was an amazing experience.

this was the best stay we had during our three week trip around Costa Rica. The secluded location, the amazing wild life right in front of the bungalow, the sunsets in front of our porch, the waves crushing rocking us to sleep. it was perfect and the most amazing end to our beautiful trip. when we come back, this will be the place we will return to straight away 🙏🏼
