Absolutely beautifully decorated unit, very cosy, has everything you need and close to walks in the area. Very peaceful. Pip and Kevin were so accommodating and lovely to chat to with great tips on where to walk. Homemade shortbread on arrival! If we ever return, we would stay again.

Kaiteriteri Reserve Apartments is set in Kaiteriteri overlooking the golden sand beach. The accommodation is air-conditioned and features a flat-screen TV. The property was in the most fantastic location near the market, restaurants, and most importantly, the beach. We had easy parking, and the apartment was very nice! We wanted to stay longer!!!

Woodland eco retreat is set in Parapara. The property has garden views. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. We booked rather last minute and were pleasantly surprised by our accomodations. We booked it at 4pm, called, and Heather said to check in whenever we're ready. We got there around 5:30 after we picked up groceries for the next 2 days. It's easy to find and in a great location in Golden Bay amongst wooded nature. Upon parking, we were greeted immediately by Heather who helped cart our luggage across a bridge over a small creek. Our little house was a short walk across the lawn, and it was a large space with a lot of light. The photos don't do it justice. Heather had a vase full of fresh cut flowers, 2 bowls of fruit picked from her yard, and a platter of nuts for us to enjoy, and showed us how to use the composting toilet that was in an adjacent build out (it's not inside the house but the 2 step walk is connected and covered). Most toilets we encountered in Golden Bay were composting toilets. She also gave us the option of using the laundry facilities or the flush toilet in her house. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was fully functional, and showers were hot. It was peaceful, beautiful, quiet, and the stars were beautiful. Our toddler loved it. It feels like staying at my grandparent's house, which suited us just fine. On our checkout day, Heather came by and told us to take our time, since no one else booked the place. Great value, would stay there again!

Excellent location, quiet but easy access to the coast and the hills. Generously stocked fridge. Locally made jams and chutneys. Pétanque and swimming pool . One of the best places we have ever stayed.
