The birds chirp in the morning and the sunrises are special. I don’t have words for how amazing this place is. A little outside of town, but less than $2 US to get into town. Worth it.

Honestly, one of the best places we had in Sri Lanka during our one month travelling. Trully recommend!

Boasting garden views, Hidden Slope Cottage provides accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 5.4 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge. Wow!! We cannot say enough about the hosts and this property! The hosts (Tissa and his family) were caring, attentive, and warm. We ordered breakfast each morning and it exceeded our expectations. The hosts offer a variety of services that we did not take advantage of (such as scooter rentals). We did book a massage and were happy with the process and service. The property is a private cottage down a steep slope with an incredible view and only a short walk (10 minutes depending on your pace) from the shops and restaurants in Ella. We enjoyed the sounds of nature rather than the town--perfect!! Due to its location, it is not accessible for everyone. In that case, consider the hosts other property up on the road Tree Cool.

Offering a garden and garden view, Secret Mountain Paradise is set in Ella, 5.1 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge and 49 km from Hakgala Botanical Garden. The host was very nice and privided us with a very delicious breakfast with fresh fruit and dinner. The small cottage that we lived in was built very well and we had a wonderful few over a valley to the next mountain. As the accomodation is on a hill with a street that is too small for cars, the host always picked us up with his tuck tuck.

Can't recommend it enough! The room is cozy, the balcony is lovely and has AMAZING views! Location was perfect for us - its situated a bit outside of town and surrounded by beautiful nature, but you can easily walk or tuk tuk to town. Very idyllic and relaxing! But most of all, the hosts are so kind and make you feel so welcome and at home! The food is DELICIOUS (ask for dinner)! They also arranged an amazing tuk tuk tour for us!! We were so sad to leave and hope to come again one day!! Many thanks for your hospitality!! 💕

Ice Age Cottage is situated in Ella, 45 km from Hakgala Botanical Garden, 46 km from Horton Plains National Park, and 3 km from Ella Railway Station. The host managing the accomodation was lovely and attentive and knowledgeable with recommendations.Area was very calm beautiful view and great to have breakfast in the balcony with a great view in full privacy.

Offering garden views, The Creek Villa ella is an accommodation set in Ella, 49 km from Hakgala Botanical Garden and 1.2 km from Ella Spice Garden. Susan was really welcoming and friendly. He shared good tips on where to eat and get laundry done, became our tuk tuk driver while we were in Ella and offered a lovely breakfast service for a small extra charge. The view is so gorgeous and he helped carry our backpacks up to the room.
