Daniele reached out to us well in advance with detailed instructions for self check in. This included additional information relating to visits in Matera, walk map and parking suggestions. I just followed the walk map and ended up not missing any important spots. These were not expected but did make a big difference. The property was beautiful and arranged for us. We had our own personal time and felt at home. Would strongly recommend this.

At B&B Sud e Magia, the family-friendly restaurant is open for dinner, lunch and cocktails and serves Italian cuisine. We loved having our delicious breakfasts with Rosa at Bar and Trattoria Scarpone. Scrumptious chocolate cornettos, coffee made to order. Warm and friendly welcome from Rosa. We also had 2 fabulous dinners there. The restaurant is above the bar. The studio apartment is modern and in a central location. Free parking is available about a 5 minute walk away. Michele provided good communication about exactly where to park.Castelmezzano is a wonderful town in the most beautiful location.

From the pottery to the tiles, from the dishes to the extra touches to make this space feel like home. There was a considerate variety of fresh fruit, small pastries and coffee available for our use. There was even milk and water in the fridge, cold and ready for use. Cozy, but not small. The view from the two front windows opened up to provide a street view on the edge of the Sassi. The exposed stone ceiling combines the age old architecture into the modern design. Truly a magical place!

First of all there were clear instructions on how to find this place, get the keys, and communication was super easy too. The apartment is better in person. When booking I was a bit worried about the size and feel of it, but the ceilings are quite high and feels a lot more open than I expected, not claustrophobic at all. It is a very comfortable place for spending a few days like I did. Bathroom was huge, especially considering this was a cave. The balcony/private area is lovely area to sit in the evenings with a bottle of wine. It really is a cool experience to be in a cave and have such an amazing view. Location was great, right in the middle of everything.

However, the owner came to meet us and was very helpful. Free street parking nearby.
