Situated in Kirkwall, 16 km from Maeshowe and 18 km from Standing Stones of Stenness, Orkneyinga offers air conditioning. The property is in an excellent location. We were very impressed with the unit, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was a very nice restaurant right across the road. We were a bit surprised at how far the ferry terminal was from the room. From google maps it looked like a 7 minute walk, but would have been at least 20-25 min, so be sure to take the bus from the terminal. Being a bit technically challenged had a bit of trouble figuring out the washer/dryer, but once we got that figured out it was so nice to get some clothes cleaned.

Sheena could not have been more helpful when we asked to change apartments at very short notice. The whole apartment was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed.

Situated 41 km from Standing Stones of Stenness, 43 km from Ring of Brogdar and 7.4 km from Orkney Fossil and Heritage Centre, Burray, 1 Taits Flat features accommodation set in Orkney. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen and living room were nicely done, and there was a washer/dryer (though I did not use it). It was in a great location; the pub around the corner was wonderful, and so were the locals I met there.

Amazing little cottage that is just the thing for experiencing what we imagine living in isolation in beautiful Scotland is like. Without all the work and isolation. Cosy place overlooking the ocean, with everything we needed, and our own chickens!
