There were windows from all sides of the living area. and there is a huge glass door facing the mountain. The heat pump keeps the whole house warm. There is also bed heater. TV is huge at the living room with smart apps, you can log in to your Netflix. Kitchen is complete with almost everything. You can park your car right in front of the house. It is really almost perfect! The friendly host came out and greeted us as we reached and showed us where to get the keys and all!

Hands down the best place we've stayed in during our year in Aotearoa. Amy and Jason are the most thoughtful, generous hosts and consider every detail to make the experience special for their guests - arriving home to incredible views, a freshly stoked hot tub and fire, thoughtfully curated playlists, and a very comfortable night sleep was above and beyond what we could have asked for. The location is perfect - with nearby Twizel and an easy, beautiful drive up to Aoraki (Mount Cook) - but we mostly wanted to stay in the cottage and chill for a while! Don't hesitate to book this place - our dream is to go back and see it in every season...

Immaculate, and following a night in a shared hostel dorm, I adored having my own space! Easy check in, quiet despite being close to the state highway. And fun watching the aircraft take off. Small kitchenette mean I could cook something and save the extra dollars I spent on the room.
