It is a beautiful real Dutch house on the canal. With cosy living room with big windows and two separate bedrooms on the 1st floor. There are sheep and some chickens around and birds singing. Wonderful quiet authentic holiday experience. House has everything you need for a family vacation. With the car we were able to reach half of Holland within 1 hour: tons of things to do. Woerden's city center is around 3 km by feet in the wonderful surroundings.

The place is a former stable that has been renovated and transformed into appartment units, each with a small terrace. You may even see some sheep grazing in front of your door, so there is a touch nature! The kitchen part is equipped with plates and pots for basic cooking and there is microvawe/grill, induction cooker, and kettles for coffee/tea. Next to the kitchen counter is a living/dining area and the bed is on a mezzanine (with Dutch-style, rather steep stairs). There is a skylight, which gives lots of light in the morning, even if all the window curtains are drawn for privacy. We didn't have a great weather, but the floor heating compensated it, which you can adjust for your liking. Overall the place is clean (our bathroom was a recently renovated one), simple but adequately furnished for the purpose of staying. It is a great value for money! It is located on the edge of Woerden on the south-east side, near the lake. Woerden is a hidden gem, with picturesque center and a generally calm place. It's only 10 mins train ride from Utrecht, and has direct train connection to Leiden and Amsterdam too, each well within an hour. Trains run every half ours, and even late night. The railway station is a bit far by foot (35 mins, albeit a pleasent walk), but we could rent bycicles from the owners, and by that its less than 10 mins. Even though we have travelled around in the region and visited many places, our most memorable moments are riding the bikes on Cattenbroekerdijk each morning and evening to/from the station. The scenery is just beautiful. Last but not least our hosts were very nice too!

Kdo hledá klid a odpočinek mimo rušné město, obklopen přírodou, v krásné krajině holadských polderů - pak je to správná volba. V okolí množství ptáků, zvířat. Nic nám nechybělo, majitelé byli přátelští, mohli jsme nahlédnout do chodu ekofarmy. Výborný výchozí bod pro cyklistické výlety a zároveň nedaleko městeček s restauracemi a obchody. Úžasné!

De Kapelle is located in the center of the historic town of Oudewater, it just takes a couple of minutes and you are walking along the old canals. With Gouda, Woerden and Utrecht at just a short distance there is plenty to do at a close distance. The appartment is amazing, it's located on the second floor of a historic building. The historic character is beautifully preserved in it's wooden beams, but then there are very nice modern aspects to the furnishing. For instance, a fully equiped kitchen and a lovely and comfortable bathroom. There is a very comfortable and spacious bed in the main area and a second bed on a mezzanine floor whitch is reached by a stylish spiral staircase. There are plenty of parking spaces at a very close distance to the property so unpacking and packing the car is a breeze.

Apartment was large, but very dirty. Country is beautiful and we visited a lot of interesting places, but accommodations was dissapointment.
