A perfect stay in this tiny village in the mountains with amazing views. Mario, the host, was so accommodating, we had the most amazing food cooked by his delightful mother and the apartment, decor, facilities and view are incredible. Both the village of Poggetello and the nearest town of Tagliacozzo are utterly charming. A real break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The apartment was spotlessly clean and perfectly located to walk to everything you'd want to see in Tagliacozzo. I stayed for 2 weeks and it was exactly what I needed, a one bedroom with an equipped kitchen. Best of all, it's family operated and Tonino, the father, showed me around the neighborhood and even introduced me to the local store owners so I knew where to get fresh vegetables, meats and cheeses. He's also very knowledgeable about hiking and mountain climbing there (be sure to ask him about Mt. Velino, he's very experienced!) I highly recommend this apartment for the real Tagliacozzo experience.

Alessandro met us at the apartment to give us a short, professional welcome and helpful explanation of all the features. The layout is simple and spacious: 1 large kitchen/dining room combo, and 1 large bedroom/bathroom (with a larger-than-normal shower!). The entire unit appears newly renovated, the decor is refreshingly uncluttered and tasteful with wood furniture, white walls, and terra cotta floors - a perfect fit for the location at the center of a tiny mountain town. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, plates, silverware, etc, and everything was clean and orderly. The washing machine worked great, and even included laundry detergent!
