We really enjoyed our stay at Il Monastero! It is located in a small village not far from Volterra and we came by car. We were very lucky, we booked the smallest apartment (Lavande) next to the street and were upgraded to the bigger one with two floors closer to the garden (Olivo), as it was free, which was great, thank you very much! Everything was in the apartment that we needed and everybody was so friendly. It was quite hot weather, but the apartment was nicely cool, so we didnt even need the ventilator which was offered for us. We were almost the only ones in the residence, thus it was very quiet at the pool and no one was sitting at the terrace next to us (which belongs to the apartment next door). This made our stay very relaxing and it is very beautiful inbetween the olive trees, with the big pool and garden. In the village, there is a small restaurant, which we liked a lot. We would definitely come here again, especially in one of the apartments with own terrace and garden (like Girasole) next to the pool.
