Very spacious and comfortable room with living room and kitchen aneks (and bathroom, of course). Feel like in a regular flat, not 'room for rent'. A lot of stuff helpful for cooking and keeping room clean. Surrounded with garden, where is also space for a car. You would feel very comfortable even for longer holidays. Also traveling with dog. The landlord is very hospitable. What I suggest is to talk with landlord and take an everyday town tour. Except of thermal area that is the most famous part of town, you must see the vinyards. You could leave the car, travel with landlord during his tour and make 'a wine safari' even every evening. Eating traditonal supper or sweets. Days for Balaton or thermal lake, evenings for traditonal meals and regional wine. That's how I see it ;)

Perfectly situated apartment near Balaton Lake, 10 minutes drive! Small terrace for breakfast, huge living-kitchen open space, very modern! For families with two kids it is more than enough, even with three kids is okay because the sofa in the living can be turned into a bed! What we missed and didn’t know: there is a Nespresso coffee machine but no capsules, so take some for your stay with you! And if you drink wine: take a Bottle opener, there is none😂😂! Buuuut, the restaurant across the street will be very happy to help… This is another convenient thing: the apartment is very central, you have two restaurants within two minutes walk, the bus station is in front of the house! It was a perfectly short stay!

The accommodation is located in one of the best area with good access to central (and thermal lake), bus terminal, and even wine yard in the north. We have spent 4 wonderful nights in Villa Lira. The villa is much better then in the pictures, located in a calm place 15 minutes by foot to Heviz city center. We have stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment - and it was perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. You have everything you need in the places where you expect it to be. Kitchen corner is not big, but have all you might need - from plates and cups to the fridge, microwave and the stove. The bathroom is spacey and very functional. The common area is nicely decorated and everything is super clean. The true gem of the Villa Lira is its owner - Irina - she is very accommodating - giving you the feeling that you came to a place of an old friend. She showed us everything, explained the practicalities in Heviz and Hungary and on a Easter day even gave us colored eggs and home made Easter cake - such a nice touch! We really enjoyed our stay in Villa Lira and would recommend everyone visiting to Heviz to stay in Villa Lira. You will leave with excellent memories and one more friend :) Thank you very much Irina for your hospitality!
