We have a relative living here on crete who came unexpactately to the university hospital of heraklion. We came here as soon as possible and were looking for a stay near the hospital. Therefor the apartment has a perfect location, we can just go 15min by feet. The host is very courteous and undstood our situation, we could extend the stay easily for another week.

This was the perfect small studio. It contained everything one might need, from work space to cooking equipment. I was very pleasantly surprised. For me, it also was at a good location, as I needed to get to the FORTH research centre, which is in walking distance. There is a bus stop very close (take bus 11 from the city) and a super market right across the street.

Everything! All was perfect! Everything thoroughly cleaned bedsheets and towels as well. Hosts amazing and polite people, always checking in to see if everything was ok or if we needed something. Traveling with a little child is stressful enough for the parents sometimes but here we relaxed and new we were in a safe place for us and our little one. Close by there is a tourist area with shops, restaurants café, parks and a beautiful sandy beach so if you want to avoid going in to Heraklion as it is a big and busy city you can stay in that area. Close to the highway so easy access to go visit other areas in Crete as well. Don't be alarmed by knowing it is close to the highway believe me it is far enough and you do not hear a single thing. - check-in: the keys were left at the door and I didn't have to coordinate check-in or make the host stay late - location: close to the conference venue (but away from city center, so keep that in mind if you want to be within walking distance from the main city-sights) - privacy: the balcony overlooks an open area so it's relatively private and has a beautiful view, plenty of sun and air - lots of windows and plenty of sunshine, but the shutters close completely which is awesome for those of us who like to sleep in total darkness - parking available sometimes (though not guaranteed)
