We were looking for somewhere to stop over for two nights and how could we resist somewhere named the Bees Knees? The location just outside Monmouth was perfect for our needs and gave us the opportunity to explore the forest nearby. This extension on the side of the main house/converted barn was cosy and clean, with everything we needed. Comfortable bed with loads of pillows to choose from, good size shower and decent wifi. The lighting efffects were fun to play with and we did actually use them for softer lighting in the morning. We were treated to cake, tea and coffee and there was milk waiting in the fridge. The weather was still good for the time of year so we were able to sit out in the fenced-off garden area and enjoy the view. We didn't use the full kitchen, but we could have easily cooked for ourelves if we'd been staying longer. Our hosts made it easy to get the keys and when the electricity briefly failed were really responsive. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking to be in the area for a few days.

The location was fabulous, a little contrived to get to on the pub side but easy from over the bridge. Lots of walks straight from the door. Characterful pub with ok food. I liked that the living area was lino as it meant we didn't have to spend the time stressing about a muddy dog. It's near to Monmouth although major road works there at the moment, when it actually stops raining you could walk there. We also did a lovely round walk to another pub over the river and over the hill which was decent as well. If it had been summer we may have done some boating. We did quite alot of commuting to Bristol to see our son at uni that was about 50 minutes. We will be returning

Exceptionally clean and tidy everything was thought of for a very pleasant stay right down to all necessary cleaning products etc Communication with host was very easy and straightforward. Even though there was no problems whatsoever we felt if there was any issues they would have been dealt with very promptly Couldn’t recommended a better place to stay in the area

Pomegranate House is a self catering apartment but the hosts leave items for breakfast such as cereal, bread and jam, coffee, tea and milk which is a nice, welcoming touch. The apartment is beautifully furnished and well equipped. I stayed here five years ago when visiting England from Canada and was pleased it was available when I visited England and the Forest of Dean again this year.

Acogedor, céntrico, limpio. Para nosotros siendo familia de dos con dos niños súper bien. Tony nos tenía leche, mantequilla, mermelada, cereales, café-té, pan. La verdad que súper bien. Tenía secador de pelo, y todo lo que puedas necesitar.

The space is wonderful, very clean, nicely decorated, comfy bed, amazing bathroom. Also had a marvelous dinner across the street at The Cross Key Inn.
