The lockbox was a bit hard to find when arriving on a dark wet night. Heating seems to be by air conditioning only and it took 24 hrs for lodge to warm up by 2 degrees. Good pub in Kirkoswald souters Inn- great food.

We also liked the cafe and the many walks around the estate. Good also to have a wander after the public had left for the day. The beach was close by with lots of interesting shells and rock formations. The kitchen seemed to have had a recent upgrade and was well equipped with crockery and utensils. The heating system was good and we were never cold even though the weather wasn't brilliant.
