The cottage was of a high quality and the owners were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfy and it was very quiet for ease of going to sleep. Set in a beautiful and varied area with many interesting places to visit and the locals happy to have a "chin wag". It was very useful having the village playing field (quiet) next door to the cottage so that our dog could have a run around easily. We aim to return again!

I could park my vehicle right out side the door, making the removal & loading of my luggage a breeze. The proprietor can’t do enough to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. My wife and I, highly recommend The Old Vicarage as a base to use for your exploration of Shropshire’s delights

For walks, it is situated on the Shropshire Way, one of the loveliest long distance trails in the country. And it is only a short drive to both Ludlow and Bishops Castle

We had a lovely walk into Bishop's Castle the one day and found another circular walk the other. Just one little pub in the village but it's all you need, with great ales and food! The hosts were lovely and friendly. The self contained apartments are just across the way from the main house and have everything you need. The dog loved it too!
