The accommodation was lovely and clean plus the location was fantastic only a 5 minute walk to the village. Wonderful to have fresh milk,butter and jam in the fridge when we arrived and some beautiful biscuits. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Excellent location. We used Hexham as a home base for exploring Hadrian's wall and other local historic sites. Very helpful host who helped us quickly resolve an issue with a neighbor who didn't realize they had some kind of alarm going off. The host also left us a fresh pint of milk in the fridge which was a lovely touch. Private off-street parking was definite plus. Comfortable kitchen and living area. An electric hearth in the original fireplace came in handy for warming up after a cold, wet hike. Very cozy and memorable.

Too cold for me to sit in the garden (January) but it looked so inviting. I'll be back. Absolutely no complaints but there are stairs down to the entrance and the car needs to be parked in the village (you will get a parking pass) or at free parking 5/10 minute walk. You can unload the car at the cottage before you park it somewhere else.
