We used this accommodation as our home base for several day tours in the Finnish lake region, and we do not regret it for a small moment. A nice small guesthouse with a private sauna, just a short walk away from the harbour, offers anything you need as a tourist. Granted, the room may not have the most modern look, but we were happy nonetheless: the room was spotlessly clean, and the kitchen has many utensils. The biggest asset of this guesthouse? The host: a very kind and welcoming lady who helped us on our way multiple times. This hospitality was also reflected in all common areas, which were breathing a cozy 'welcome home'-atmosphere. I would most definitely book here again.

Salpalinjan Hovi ligger i en charmig, renoverad skolbyggnad, 10 minuters bilresa från Villmanstrands centrum. Här erbjuds boende med självhushåll, klassisk inredning, pentry och eget badrum. Excellent location and awesome place to stay close to Lappeenranta. The "history room" is super, it's very spacious and it's fully furnished with everything. The host is very nice and helpful in explaining what to do in the nearby area and in Rutola village. Nearby there's a GP Grilli which is excellent. I highly recommend it if you're passing by!

Has block out curtains & mosquito screens on windows which is very important in the summer & we found many accommodations don’t have these.
