Located on the site of the Old Ben Lomond Golf Course, Craggy offers a range of accommodation including self-contained cabins and studios. We loved everything about Craggy Peaks! From the moment we arrived ( Deb & Craig made sure the cabin was warm and toasty and left a small light on as we checked in after hours ) till the time we checked out (sadly) we loved every minute spent there. The solitude and peace was exactly what we needed as we spend hours staring at the screen everyday. It’s a case of disconnect to connect. There was almost zero internet connectivity but that’s ok cos that’s exactly what we wanted. Bring a book! The cabin is lovely. It has a kitchen so well equipped it has everything you need to whip up meals. There’s complementary hot chocolate and marshmallows too(yummm!) Don’t even get me started on the shower. Best shower in my 10 day tour of Tassie! We highly recommend an experience at Craggy Peaks and wish to be back some day.

Just a 5 minute walk away from the centre of town, Castaway Holiday Apartments is located in Strahan. WiFi access is available at this self-catering accommodation. The apartment is considerably large and comfortable.

Offering self-contained apartments with fully equipped kitchens, Strahan Bungalows are just a 4-minute walk from Mill Bay and the harbour. Easy check in and great communication from host. Lovely place, super location and clean. Heater worked well as everything else. Loved the family chalets with two bedroom for our group of 12 we fitted easily into three of them.

Located across the road from Norfolk Bay, Masons Cottages offers self-contained studios and cottages. All feature garden views and either a fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette including a stovetop. Great location, fully self contained. Excellent staff who went above and beyond!

Offering self-contained accommodation with panoramic river and valley views, Armalong Winery Chalets is located in Grindelwald, 20 minutes' drive from Launceston. This property was absolutely superb. Beautiful vineyard setting with all comforts and lovely hosts.

Old Bishop's Quarters offers 5 different and unique 1-2 bedroom apartments, within an acre of gardens, with water or mountain views. The location is great. We did everything by foot. The house was comfy.

Set in beautiful gardens on the grounds of an historic Federation mansion, Werndee offers self-contained cottage accommodation. The cottages offer free WiFi and a patio with garden views. Werndee is located in a quiet area of Hobart, however it is close to convenience stores and cafes, and is only a very short drive from the CBD. Upon arriving, our host provided us with a rundown of how to use the keyless entry to the apartment, along with some other information about the provided facilities, then left us to enjoy the property. The apartment is gorgeous, with many conveniences that we did not expect, such as a towel heater, small sitting / sun room partitionable with curtains, and a rice cooker (much appreciated!). The kitchen is very well stocked with all the cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils one would expect. The oven and stove top are excellent (we grilled some oysters purchased from the dock on our second night). In the dining room, a shelf with plenty of information about Hobart and surrounds, including cafe and restaurant recommendations, is supplied. The wifi was fast, and the television was top-notch. In addition, we forgot a couple of items when we left, and our host was quick to let us know and arrange to post the forgotten items! For that we are very grateful. When we visit Hobart again, Werndee will be our first choice of accommodation, and we would have no hesitation recommending Werndee to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient location to spend their days in Hobart.
