Great place close to the train station and historical centre. For the price of a hotel room you get a big one-bed apartment with a very comfy bed and great facilities. We cooked here multiple nights with ease and the shower was fantastic. The owner was very helpful and friendly, even organising our Rainbow Mountain day tour. There was a very friendly kitten called Picchu who was always up for playing and cuddling. We also had to leave our bags for our hike to Machu Picchu and the hotel was happy to take them for almost a week which was a great help. There are multiple laundry options close by as well as loads of restaurants in the area.

I previously wrote a review in full, detailing how much my family loved staying here with us! It was their first time in Peru and it was my 7th time in Cusco (over a 10 year period - my husband is Peruvian). To let you know how much I loved staying here, I can say it’s the best self catering place I have ever stayed in, in Cusco. I have obviously experienced many, many places and I only wish I had found the Katari sooner! There’s no point in looking any further, book the Katari. I say that as a fellow traveller from the UK. I stayed at the Katari twice this year and it exceeded my expectations both times. We were extremely happy - it’s great value for money for what you have available. The first time we stayed we had a larger apartment as there were more of us. The second time we had a smaller room because just 2 of us. You still get a fridge and a microwave. You still get the amazing breakfast. We had a mini balcony too. We stayed for a longer period of time in the bigger apartment and it was like having a base - a home from home. The second time was just one night, but we wish it was longer! Our host was Alex and we have never met a host anywhere more caring, sincere, amiable, dedicated, helpful and attentive than him! Alex should get an award for being such an awesome host!!!!!!!!

good location (5 minutes walking distance to the city center) The staff were friendly and welcoming. They supplied lots of fruits and ingredients for breakfast (cooked by yourself) The apartment was clean and cozy! Hot water was stable and sufficient.

This was a wonderful place, where I would gladly stay again, as well as suggest to friends. The staff are so friendly, always smiling and taking care of our need immediately. The terrace is simple and beautiful. It’s quiet and lovely!

The localization was outside the rush of the City center. At the front of the apartment was a green area. there are many taxi in the area so we were able to arrive to the center in few minutes for 6-10 soles. The host was very friendly.

This is not the Hilton, but you don't pay like the Hilton. Nice, local atmosphere with friendly staff. The centre of town is just a 5 minutes walk away. I enjoyed the place. If I come back to Cusco, I come back to Cities of the World!

Exceptionally nice and helpful host, who was always attending quickly to our requests and going above and beyond to make our stay great. The apartment was nice and clean, and the location right next to San Blas market and in the more quiet and cozy part of Cusco is fantastic.
