We were extremely satisfied with the accommodation. Andreas and his son Sifis are very friendly and willing to fulfill any request you have. Nothing is a problem here! The plus was that there are only 5 rooms with a kitchen that are spacious and clean enough for 3 people. There was even 3 cleanings in 11 nights. There is divine peace, a homely atmosphere with a beautiful garden and swings for children. A beautiful beach with a tavern with excellent food and a bar only about 200 m from the house. Plus sunbeds for you for free! Sifis was kind enough to drive us to Plakias (distance about 10 km) where there are countless different taverns, bars and even 2 discos. We just rented a car there to also explore the beautiful surroundings of Crete. A shop approx. 15 minutes' walk away, where you can buy fresh bread, amazing home-made sheep's and goat's cheeses, olives and other essentials at reasonable prices. I will never forget the evenings spent in the linden garden to the sound of cicadas, where Andreas and I tasted his homemade raki and talked about life in Greece etc. Thank you for everything gentlemen, it was just a dream to spend a holiday with you. I stayed at Crete Mare probably about 20 total nights between my visits to plakias in 2021 and 2022. The rooms are very clean, the showers are a little bigger than most in crete and have glass enclosures that prevent the whole bathroom from getting wet. The option for a queen bed is nice, especially because it’s an actual queen bed and not two doubles stacked next to each other. The bed was very comfortable. The service is super friendly. The location is nice, with a calm beach right in front cause the water is protected by rocks to slow the sometimes wind-blown sea. The view tops everything off though. Beautiful views from every room, and close enough to hear the ocean at night. I can’t speak for the breakfast, because I usually didn’t get up early enough for it, but the breakfast next-door at nikos on the rocks serves breakfast all day, and is very good. One other benefit is that nikos bar (next door) stays open later than most other bars in plakias (if your into that, which I was). Service at nikos is also excellent.

The rooms were very clean and even if we had some problems with our room, the host solved it really quick. The location is amazing, the garden is very nice and is right next to the beach. Very close you can find great taverns where you can eat local food (very delicious).

Choosing a place to stay for someone who needs a wheelchair is difficult. However Costas's place was perfect for us. The staff were wonderful and helpful . The room was very comfortable and easily accessible. The breakfast was amazing. Altogether a perfect place for us to stay .
