We stayed at Mezzao for 7 nights and could have easily spend some more weeks here. We had such a lovely stay there and left today full of thankfulness for such amazing service, hospitality and value for money. As someone who traveled to more than 8 places in Greece, this hotel and experience has definitely been the best so far. The happy owner Vassa is so welcoming and paid great attention to our wellbeing. Vassa would just come by every morning to see if we are enjoying ourselves and enjoy their fresh creative breakfasts. Every morning, you got to eat something new from her husband's garden like Riganada with fresh tomatoes and feta, yoghurts with fruits, pancakes with chocolate sauce, eggs with bacon etc. Our highlights were the large pool, which we often had for ourselves. And we loved the garden with numerous reading areas and a sea view. Also, our rooms were cleaned every day and we got new towels and bed sheets quite often. Ps. Be aware that you'll need a rental car as the place is somewhat remote.

Traveled for work and sun. Lucky with both. Hosts did their best. Internet was reliable for work. Mania beach 5 minutes drive has both secluded and a bit of a crowd section - left or right depending on your taste. Definitely play with mud. Fabulous beaches, like Agia Eleny (or Petani if you can park) half an hour drive. Avli restaurant recommended by host in town worth a visit (or two, or three). The bottle of kefalonian rose gifted at the end - yes, nice parting touch. Will see to go their again. Soon..

Large room, with a terrace with a wonderful view of the sea. The kitchen had everything we needed. Every day, a lady came and cleaned the room. A quiet place. Parking in the yard. Very, very nice host.

My grandson enjoyed the pool before and after the beach. We felt very welcomed. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.

We arrived near midnight and were greeted by a gracious hostess. The bed is perhaps the most comfortable we’ve had on six visits to Greece. Parking is easy directly in front of the accommodation. There was a nice balcony with pretty sea views. The location is a five walk from the lively Lixouri main square. There is a large supermarket less than five minutes away.

It is my second time in Kephalonia and the second time in Ammousa. I came back because on my first trip I was impressed with the cleanliness. The room was very spacious, with a kitchinette well equiped, the bed sheets and towels were changed every day. The bed was very comfortable, the balcony was facing a garden with olive trees. There are super markets in walking distance, it takes 15 min on foot to get downtown (where you can take the ferry to Argostoli) and about 30 min by car to the nicest beaches on the island. On the arrival, we found in the room coffee, snacks, home-made wine and cold water in the fridge. Mr. Thassos and the family are incredibly nice and made our stay trully remarcable. For the next holiday in Kephalonia, I would choose again Ammousa for sure.

I stayed at Petania for 10 days which was 7 days longer than I planned as I ended up working from the hotel for a week rather than returning to the UK. Why not enjoy the Greek sunshine for a little longer? I was given such a warm welcome by the team. They were so helpful with everything and thank you for the grapes, watermelon, tasty cake and morning tea! The facilities are good, very clean and in a great location just a short walk to the main square but with plenty of places nearby. A great bakery and a good pizzeria called DoughHouse. Do visit. I'd certainly return to Petania in future. I miss the view from the front balcony and general relaxing vibes. Lovely people.
