This remodeled historic property maintains the quaint feel of life in the centuries past. The staff is very friendly and extremely accommodating if there is anything you need or any questions you may have. The breakfast is an amazing traditional breakfast and we never left hungry. This hotel hasn't been around long, but they are doing such a great job I think they will be around a long time. Beautiful property too with a pool, garden, and little farm where they raise chickens for the eggs you eat at breakfast. This is definitely where we will stay again next time we come to Sao Jorge! Quiet area that’s not too far from all of the fun would definitely stay here again.

They offer you the use of the kitchen and to sit anywhere in the house. They were most helpful and giving us advice on places to visit. Breakfast is not provided, but you can use the kitchen to prepare your own. Or dinner. Large bedroom. Everything very clean. Hosts speak English very well. located about 10 minutes outside of Velas and three minutes from a nearby restaurant.

The suite has 2 decent sized bedrooms with king beds (2 twins together), which were very comfortable. One bedroom had a 3 piece ensuite bathroom and the other 3 piece bathroom was just down the hall from the 2nd bedroom. The kitchen had great appliances, including a washer and clothing steamer. We really enjoyed the patio area with inside views of the courtyard. It was a great location where we could easily walk to the gardens, harbour and shopping area.

Fantastic setup with smaller individual room and a large kitchen and living room that was a common space. Beautiful view of Pico (when the weather is clear). Great large porch to enjoy a beverage. Breakfast provided was bread, eggs from the on-site chickens, Jorjense cheese (which is now my favorite) and jam....perfect!
