I loved my own verandah overlooking the grounds and ocean . The bed was comfortable and I had my own bathroom. The other guests where all very helpful and we enjoyed some drinks in the evening after diving. There is a pretty good market about 500 metres down the road and it’s about a 25-30’ walk to the airport.

Le Coconut Lodge is a family guesthouse in Avatoru, in the Rangiroa Region and set in a tropical garden by a private beach on the lagoon side. Sophie (owner of the lodge who also runs it) was very helpful and an amazing host, nothing was a hassle for her. She organised for us last minute an amazing tour, which everyone else seemed to say no to. It was the best tour we’ve been on in a long time! Dinner is on a long table which makes it a nice family style. There are bikes for guests to use and paddle/kayaks all complimentary which was very nice. The beach in front of the lodge is small and we had it all to ourselves (everyone was out on excursions) which made it feel like we were in our own private little area. Thank you for the experience you have created for us!

When I left the lady who dropped me off to the airport gave me a flower necklace and I felt warm with this gift. The support in terms of tips and care was exceptional. They even have bikes available to use, which was my transport in the island. The place is ideal for solo traveler or a couple, is a studio with all you need and everything clean and modern.There are close restaurants and market but the beach is a bit faraway to go by bike.
