They gave us lots of good advice, especially about the coming cyclone and we were able to stay an extra two days to avoid the storm. A lovely short walk led us to the huge beach and very friendly locals to visit. The community was very quiet, away from the main town but only a short drive from all the amenities and sites.

Incredibly central, very friendly lady on the desk who pointed me to the Sunday craft market which was a lot of fun. Older building but very very clean and comfortable. A great place to stay with the dogs.

Livingston Motel is a 5-minute drive from Nga Tapuwae o Toi Walking Track, and a 15-minute drive from the Whakatane Airport. Excellent staff. The room was very comfortable. The spa bath was enormous.
