Great value and peaceful stay. Hot tub is open until 10pm which is great for a quick relaxing dip before bed. I wish I could have stayed longer to read all of the books. Parking is good and it felt like a safe area. Stayed with my partner but would equally be happy to stay as a solo traveller as I felt very safe and secure.

Situated in Paraparaumu Beach in the Wellington region, The Green Trout - Paraparaumu Beach Holiday Home features a garden. This is the perfect little beach shack, with furniture that reminded me of my grandparents house. It's simple and is meant to really be the place you sleep while out enjoying the local area. Rooms were simple, beds were simple, kitchen was small but functional and the bathroom had clearly been updated as it was lovely. Instructions for getting keys were clear and simple to follow, overall the stay was good and really convenient. It was awesome waking up each morning to the beach and had beautiful views of the sunsets each afternoon.

Very comfortable and well appointed and equipped large room with reading chairs and small table and chairs for breakfast and access to a lovely yard that my husband enjoyed for reading later in the evening.

Set in Paraparaumu Beach in the Wellington region, Quiet homestay, private room with an adjacent bathroom features a patio. This homestay free WiFi and free private parking. Arrived a bit frazzled 14 hours after leaving Singapore, met by super friendly hosts, had the best shower & were offered a lift to a family gathering which we thought was walking distance… Thankyou so so much. Really appreciated this gesture. The room was perfect, the location was peaceful. 10/10, if you’re ever looking for somewhere to stay in the UK. Let us know!
