We really enjoyed sharing the delicious platter, which was perfect with a glass of local rose wine. All those additional treats like the home made biscuits made you feel like you were being looked after.

Ascot Oamaru Motel is one of Oamaru's largest motel complexes only minutes by car to the town centre, shops, Blue Penguin Colony, Oamaru Racecourse, Centennial Park and the Historic Oamaru Precinct. Perfect for an over nighter, bed and facilities were good.

The Shepherd's Rest is situated on a farm, within a 10-minute drive from the centre of Oamaru. The adults-only property has mountain views. Very well equipped beautiful property with great views & Jennie was such a lovely host. Really enjoyed the outside bath & feeding the alpacas & sheep! Good location for Oamaru & for visiting the wonderful Little Blue Penguins. Thank you for such a special stay Jennie!
