The apartment itself is spacious, and the breakfast that was provided was good. Excellent wifi. The owners are lovely - I wish I would've booked two nights instead of just one!

We could see the cows in the paddock when we arrived and even from the lounge area and some of the bedroom windows. The area is also quaint and quiet with great sunset views. The place has everything you need for a short stay and a short drive from Hobbiton and the Blue Springs.

The location is very good, the room facilities are complete, the house is very new, the room is very large, we spent a wonderful holiday here, it’s fantastic here, it’s great value for money.

Matamata Central Motel is a 20-minute drive from the Hobbiton Movie Set & Farm Tours, where parts of the Lord of the Rings trilogy were being filmed. Very clean place, great sized space and friendly hosts.
