Loved that they had nice bathroom products as I forgot my personal ones & didn't have to use cheap single packets like other places. Also my daughter loved feeding the baby lambs in the morning!

We could see the cows in the paddock when we arrived and even from the lounge area and some of the bedroom windows. The area is also quaint and quiet with great sunset views. The place has everything you need for a short stay and a short drive from Hobbiton and the Blue Springs.

Quiet, peaceful area, a brisk walk from downtown. Excellent host who went out of her way to meet our needs. Cute alpacas were a bonus! Would absolutely stay here again.

Matamata Central Motel is a 20-minute drive from the Hobbiton Movie Set & Farm Tours, where parts of the Lord of the Rings trilogy were being filmed. Beautiful motel, super clean and comfortable. Great location.
