Offering a restaurant that serves a delectable spread of local and Western cuisine, Koimala Hotel is located at the center of a whale shark point 100 metres from the beach. Staff was very welcoming and took care of everything. Food was so delicious that it actually made me revise my previous prejudices against Asian/Indian food. Chicken curry here has nothing in common with the turmeric sadness you get in the West. Actually all the dishes from the curry list are fantastic. There is also a breakfast option with tuna salad and Indian bread that is the best. The snorkeling experience included in the price was very exciting. The hotel is located in the middle of a community, which helps you get a glimpse into the real life of people living on this island. There is also a kind of private beach at 10 minutes walking from the hotel. I believe you cannot get more value for money in the Maldives.

Set in Maamigili, White Sand Inn has a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property. I liked both the hotel itself and its location. There was a beautiful beach nearby where you could swim and watch the sunrise. I took a hotel with breakfast included. It was prepared every morning) The manager also arranged for a transfer by speedboat to the island itself. It was very convenient: 2 hours on the road and I ended up on the island at the hotel!)

There's not much to do on the island of Maamigili besides diving or snorkeling, but this hotel made my time on this island simply fantastic. I came here after a 5-star resort, and honestly didn't notice any difference in the quality of service :) Everything, from communication in the chat, organizing transfers to and from the island, absolute cleanliness and coziness of the room, was simply top-notch. The guys help with all questions, solve all problems, are extremely caring and friendly to their guests, and just great guys to talk to and be around. They'll advise, assist, organize, feed, and transport you. I'm honestly in love with this place and can confidently recommend it again and again.

Facing the beachfront, Villa Park Sun Island Resort offers 5-star accommodation in Maamigili and has a fitness centre, garden and terrace. This was our first visit to the Maldives, and it has been beyond our expectations. The scenery here is so beautiful and peaceful with the palm trees, white sand and 50 shades of turquoise water. The island is large and there are a lot of different areas to discover and enjoy. The southern part is even more serene as it is protected from the winds and its water are so calm. The service is wonderful. The staff are very kind and helpful. There is also a large variety of great food at the main restaurant ranging from indian to european and beyond. For tennis lovers - another amazing thing here is that you can get free tennis lessons and practice! Abbi, the tennis coach, is kind and professional and it has been great to learn and improve my game with her. Thank you Abbi!
