One of the closest accommodations from the world heritage Shirakami Sanchi Mountains, Hotel Yutoria Fujisato offers rooms with Western-style beds and sofas. Room was big and spacious. Bed was very comfortable and nice. Many thanks to the staff who arrange some buns and coffee for us in the morning.

Nice breakfast selection. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Location of hotel and free parking were reasons I chose the hotel in addition to it being a good value.

A Japanese restaurant with a free Japanese/Western breakfast buffet, a hot public bath and massage services await guests at Hotel Route-Inn Odate Omachi, a 10-minute drive from JR Odate Train Station.... Typical basic Japanese business hotel. Seemed to be mainly business men staying there as was a little far from the station. We drove there from the station and plenty of parking. Also there is a city bus to there. Laundry machines. Breakfast adequate with hot/cold food. Pleasant staff but no English spoken.

The best part of staying in this budget hotel is the exceptional breakfast buffet with a great variety of Japanese homemade dishes. It’s within a 10-min walk from the JR station. The public bath is open until late night.

Royal Hotel Odate offers accommodation in Odate. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV. Every room is fitted with a private bathroom fitted with a bath and shower. The location was close to the train station and the Akita dog museum. I only stayed overnight so I missed the chance to see Akita dogs, which I was looking forward to. We arrived late but the warm reception with a complimentary ramen, which is only availble from 7-9 pm, was a delight. The hotel is old but well maintained. The toilet and bath was newly renovated and very clean. The bed was comfortable and conducive to a good night sleep.
