We were picked up from the port and dropped off at the guesthouse (1-2 minutes by car). The owner of the guesthouse was very lovely, kind and friendly, and also extremely helpful! The guesthouse is very cozy, spacious, clean, and in a very good location. Close to the main attraction of the island - Orbis et Globus.

Can't beat it. We asked the minute we arrived to extend our stay. Spotlessly clean, great facilities, hot showers, refrigerators, anything you need in the kitchen.

So clean and comfortable. Cooked a nice dinner and relaxed after walking around the town. The kitchen had all the basics. The skylights are fun and allowed us to see small/mild northern lights on the night we stayed. Town is small so we could walk all around easily from this apartment. Loved seeing the school children heading out for a hike past the door in the morning.

Este hotel está rodeado por un fiordo en la ciudad norteña de Siglufjördur, a 100 metros de la calle principal de Adalgata y a 17 km del centro de Ólafsfjördur. El hotel está bien ubicado y es bonito. El check in fue rápido y la chica fue amable en preguntar al chef si podíamos cenar pese a que era tarde. Por suerte sí pudimos y la comida fue espectacular! También pudimos conversar con otra chica del staff que es de España que al escucharnos hablar español fue muy amable con nosotros y nos dio muchos tips para buscar las auroras. Nuestra habitación tenía baño compartido y estuvo limpio en todo momento, tenía toallas a disposición, productos de limpieza y secador de cabello. La habitación limpia, tamaño preciso y tiene un lavamanos.

Helga and Rugar were absolutely nice and friendly hosts! We decided to take one of the lovely cabins and have breakfast there. We were eating it in their living room and had a lot of fun and interesting conversation with them about living in iceland. We became many useful hints for visiting the town and pur further trip. Whenever we come back to iceland, we will return to Herring House.
