My son-in-law from new york had a smile on his face the entire trip. Our whole family was very grateful for such a wonderful stay. The breakfast buffet was worth every penny- it was delicious, diverse and authentic. The staff at WYRA (roof top restaurant) was also very hospitable. Inderpreet and his senior manager made us feel at home and made sure we were satisfied with the food. The cultural event that occurs daily from 7-8pm was very entertaining and gave us a chance to experience singing and dancing that incorporated all elements of the region. If you are looking for the best resort in Jaisalmer, JW Marriott will surely meet that standard.

Found this place on Booking.com at midnight because none of the other 3 star properties were upto standard and they all felt like lodges instead of hotels. Took a chance since we were exhausted and we booked this place thinking that we'd inspect the place first and then check-in or goto a 5 star property in the end if we didn't like this one too (there was no booking amount charged yet). The place is a few meters inside from the main road but when we checked out the rooms, they were really good and the view of the fort from the room itself was spectacular. What won us over was the service that we received right from the moment we checked in. It was too late in the night with all restaurants closed in the vicinity but Abhishek offered us some fruit and freshly cooked snacks so that we didn't goto sleep hungry. Abhishek and his team is small and they've just started hosting clients for the past few months but the service and hospitality is comparable to a 5 star hotel. The view from the rooftop is great and you can enjoy your evening snacks, dinner on the roof with an amazing view of the entire fort. The place currently has very few reviews but I believe each and everyone is a genuine one. Give them a try when in Jaisalmer and thank me later!!

We had an amazing stay at The Gulaal - both the room, hotel, and common spaces were amazing.. however, what really made the difference was the staff. the welcome was really outstanding - they allowed for an early check-in which was much needed after having spent the night in the desert. the room was welcoming and extremely clean - shower was spacious and the bathroom was perfect. the rooftop restaurant was great for breakfast and dinner, with a great view and away from the chaos.
