One The Cairns is located in Connel, just 5.4 miles from Corran Halls and 29 miles from Massacre of Glencoe. It was so roomy! It had everything we could possibly need and we loved being able to wash clothes half way through our trip. The location was a little farther from Oban than we expected, but the bust stop was just about a half mile down the road. The owner left a book of info that really helped, but wish it explained the door locks because that was our only issue. Operator error. We even walked down and saw seals sunbathing one day. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice little village with some spectacular views. Has a train station. Good bus service. Although on a main road which can on occasion be quite busy, the speed of traffic is very much restricted and therefore not very noisy.
Lovely area and close to Oban. Would have loved to take the ferry to Mull but time was not on our side and ferry booked up. You really do need to book in advance if you are taking a vehicle on the ferry. Very scenic drives and nice places to stop and have a drink or meal.
The location has beautiful view of the loch. The Glue Pot restaurant, next to the Oyster Inn, served excellent food! Connell is close to Oban which has nice shops and restaurants offering every sort of fresh fish/shellfish. It also has some interesting landmarks, such as McCaig's Tower and the Oban Distillary.
Bendlerloch is a wee village with stunning views and handy for walking and exploring the cycle tracks which continue on to Oban and Fort William. There is the lovely Ben Lora cafe and bookshop with tables outside. Its easy to walk to Tralee beach.
Good location with lots to do within a 10 mile radius. Benderloch is within easy reach of Oban ( where there's loads of ferry options to visit islands, go to Kerrera or Lismore). It was in November we visited so a few tourist things were closed but we had no problem getting seats in restaurants. Worth note is the Pier House hotel in Port Appin, superb food, prepared really well and great service. We were in Bendeloch for four days and didn't run out of things to do, during the summer i guess a week or more would be ideal.
Stunning views everywhere and so many walks and hikes all accessible from the hotel. We also visited Sunderland Grove Forest Walks which was so pretty, super walking routes, especially as we had just had the first snow fall.
