Everything was as new, including the large hot tub which we used a couple of times during our short stay. The location was quite private and only 8 mins drive from Kirkwall if you needed anything, and as Orkney is a small set of islands you could get to anywhere on the main island within 40 mins of where the chalets were situated.

The rooms were comfortable. There was a lounge with games, sofas, and a large TV, but we were too busy to take advantage of it. Eric, the host, was very friendly and accommodating. He got us everything we asked for. The water was very soft, so only a small amount of soap or shampoo was needed. It didn't feel like we were intruding in someone's home. It felt more like a mini hotel with a fair amount of privacy for coming and going. Also, we had a ground floor room where we didn't have to drag suitcases up, which is hard being older adults. The stay was very enjoyable.

Great position for exploring Orkney.

Sarah was an absolute life saver! She helped us find a rental car when none were available at the airport. On top of that, the place is fantastic. Great location, lovely home, hot tub is a delight.

The location is close to the town centre and amenities, but more importantly the Stable itself was perfect for our family visit. Everything was clean, comfortable and well stocked, especially as we cooked a few of our meals. The hosts were great communicators and super friendly. Highly recommend and will be sure to book again if back in Kirkwall.
