The place is spotlessly clean and extremely well decorated, residents have the full run of the downstairs where they can relax in the comfy sofas and enjoy a G&T from the amazing selection of Scottish gins. They also provide evening meals and will happily cater for any special dietary requirements provided you let them know in advance. If you choose to eat out, there are good restaurants in Bowmore, the cleverly named Peatzeria and, in Port Ellen, the Sea Salt Bistro and the Islay Hotel. A visit to one or more of the distilleries on Islay is a must as is a trip to Jura and the wonderful Lussa gin distillery at the far end of the island. Would we stay there again. Absolutely…

Featuring a fitness centre and a garden, Machrie Hotel & Golf Links is situated just outside Port Ellen. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The staff was super friendly.Very helpfull with all we needed. Dinner near the fire was pleasent. Special thanks for Angela.She helped us a lot

Camerele hotelului sunt dotate cu o cafetieră. - the rooms where super clean and comfy - there was a bathtub - the staff was polite and very supportive - the hot breakfast was servered fresh directly after ordering what you desire - threre was a good selection of coffee, tea, and juices - alternatively to the hot breakfast there was also cerial, toast, Croissants, and sweet spread (honey, jam, hazelnut)

The Trout Fly Guest House offers accommodation in the centre of Port Ellen, minutes from the ferry terminal and only 3 miles from our local airport. Everything was perfect! Niall&Linda are the best hosts. They were very kind and helpful. The rooms are super clean and comfortable, and Niall makes the most amazing breakfast. His Laphroaig waffles are incredible! Thank you again for the fantastic stay! :)
