The owners are lovely, friendly hosts to whom nothing is too much trouble. Cannot recommend this hotel enough, you will not be disappointed.

Great location lovely views. Apartment was clean warm, quiet and had everything we needed. Instructions for host were clear.

Located near Ambleside, The Samling Hotel has a garden and a terrace. The property features a bar, as well as a restaurant serving British cuisine. Food was delicious. Views from room and restaurant are beautiful.

Breakfast, the fresh fruit salad was made with lots of fruit including kiwi, melon, blueberries and served with a delicious local made yoghurt. The cooked breakfast was cooked to perfection and used local products, sausages and bacon in particular very good. Bonus for us was being given the opportunity to see a teenage badger feeding in their garden. Train and buses only a few minutes walk away. Excellent bakery just at the end of the road. Ornamental Gardens and Prom within a few minutes walk and all on the flat.

The location and the service are superb, the owners were so very sweet and helpful even despite us arriving late they still offered us dinner and helped us out with the cycling It’s a great location to stay incase you’re hiking Scaffel Pike Couldn’t recommend the place more

Located in the lakeland village of Coniston, Meadowdore Cafe B&B offers free WiFi access and free on-site parking. Very good breakfast, the staff was welcoming and friendly. They were helpful even with my laundry after 10 days of traveling . Highly recommend!
