The hotel was a really nice find. The building had so much character, from games rooms to open planned living room / dining room. It clearly has so much history associated with it and the owners have done a very good job in maintaining its quality. The rooms were spacious, the bed comfy and the shower was exceptional. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The evening dinner was a culinary delight. The chef is extremely talented. I was looking forward to a lovely meal and boy did I get one.

Set in a former vineyard house, Chambres d'hôtes Le Relais de la Perle offers B&B accommodation in Le Vernois, on the famous wine trail in the Jura region. We loved staying here. The warm welcome that extended throughout our stay was wonderful. The room was large with a sofa and desk, the bed was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was very new. There was a fridge we could use and fans for the hot evening. Although it is quite close to the road, there is very little noise. We ate a picnic in the evening at one of the outside tables in the pleasant garden, and out host provided plates and glasses for us. The breakfast was very good. There's parking on site. The location is good for exploring this region and while the village doesn't have a restaurant, it sits in the middle of vineyards and there are places close by to try the wines.
