This hotel is truly the lap of luxury. Decor of the hotel is really top notch. I don’t know how they do it, but there is the same subtle, beautiful fragrance in the corridors all the time. everything is spotless. The rooms are just perfect, we stayed in a sea view room on the 4th floor, it really was impressive. We stayed for a few days early September. if you are looking for a quiet , relaxing break in a beautiful hotel, this is it. The breakfast was really nice each day, lots of fresh fruit and a buffet with chef making omelettes to order. The beach is right in front of the hotel and we walked in either direction for up to an hour each day. The Lima restaurant in the hotel is really nice too and you have to book. Just outside the hotel , across the road, there is a kind of square, where there are 5/6 bars and another 5/6 restaurants which are all very reasonably priced. Albuffeira and Villamoura are just 15 min away in s taxi. If you’ve not been to this area before , do the cave tour and dolphin trip from the Marina in Albuffeira , it was one of the highlights of our trip, apart from the hotel, The main pool outside the hotel is heated and feels like you are getting into a bath , so relaxing. The sun beds are really comfortable and there are staff there giving out towels to guests when needed. There are a few double sun beds , that look almost like a 4 poster bed and very generous in size. We used these a few times. The main bar of the hotel (blue bar I think) is really comfortable, again big , generous seats everywhere. There was live music (relaxed) here on one of the nights which was great just sitting beside the beautiful water fountain and enjoying a few drinks. All of the staff here are very helpful and wear a smile. 5 stars all the way. Certainly the most beautifully appointed hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The gardens and green areas around the hotel are also quiet vast and extremely well kept and lit.

We had the most wonderful week in Casa Areias- our best holiday in the Algarve for sure!! The property is a little outside of the town, but Uber is soo convenient and cheap- we really experienced the best of tranquillity in casa Areias, combined with the atmosphere of the nights in Albuferia. We were welcomed on our arrival by Christine, who gave us all the information we needed for the week ( and who was always available if we needed recommendations etc). Christine’s husband Samuel runs the bar, and keeps everything organised at the pool area…and he’s also a fantastic cook. We enjoyed many lunches there, and my kids were particularly fond of Sam’s Nutella crepes!! The Appartment was lovely, and the Appartment was cleaned during our stay and towels replaced mid week. There were ample sun loungers around the pool, which were really comfortable, and the kids also enjoyed playing tennis and pool. The gym is also a huge plus, and my son was really impressed with it!

This is the most relaxing place! The whole vibe is chilled. For Albufeira in the height of summer it was quiet, despite being fully occupied and there are always ample sun loungers available...there is no need to reserve or fight over them! The honesty bar is a great concept and provides everything you need. We had stayed previously in the heart of the old town and it was so noisy until the early hours of the morning. Here you're a short walk away but without any of the negatives. The room and bathroom were extra large which was treat after a series of tiny bathroom hotels we stayed in.
