The house is perfectly situated. The street is quiet and it is a very short walk to the old town and both of the main beaches in Menton. It is also a five minute walk to / from the train station and there is a large Carrefour City and other useful shops within a few minutes' walk. A car is not needed unless you plan to explore the surrounding area outside Menton that is not already on the train line. The house is very well equipped, more than we expected from a typical self serviced residence. In the kitchen the majority of standard utensils and pots and pans are provided along with useful items like seasonings and oil. The garden provides a useful space to hang washing and relax (the only downside was the mosquitos in the evening, which can't be helped by the host). The host, Nicole, is very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
