Breakfast was spot on. Location was pretty decent. A little far removed from restaurants/shopping and such, but that is kinda what I wanted so was very good for my needs. I answered no regarding the question above "Did the price I paid match the expectations I had when I booked". I answered no because the facility far exceeded my expectation. I felt it was a very good value.

Charming is an apt name for this beautiful hidden away gem. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, really working hard to ensure our stay was a dream romantic romp. They even prepared a tailored vegan alternative menu that was an unexpected touch of care. We're truly grateful to Silvia and her team.

Interesting town, much to see, like the TAAF Snake Farm, where I was for a course, the Gede ruins and much more. Good infrastructure, which is not in all coastal towns in Kenya the case. The beach in front of Papa Remo is alone worth going there!

Watamu is beautiful , but unfortunately too touristical for me. Heavily overpriced for Kenya. People who like bust tourist spots will like it though... traditionally many Italians, if you want to avoid those, Watamu is also not your choice

Watamu has lovely people, tourists are so safe its unreal.
Watamu has lovely people, tourists are so safe its unreal. Large Italian population and visitors, so most hotels and resteuraunts are italian owned. Best place to eat and the most jawdropping view is from Ocean Sports.

Watamu as such is lovely with a few good public beaches.
Watamu as such is lovely with a few good public beaches. Restaurants are galore and most really good, although mostly expensive. Among the coastal towns I visited in Kenya and Tanzania, I have come back to Watamu most often. The water is crystal clear, the beach white and not overrun, and the area offers enough activities to not get boring.

Local administration and hoteliers should strive to attract...
Local administration and hoteliers should strive to attract more local tourists. Overdependence on foreigners leads to exaggerated prices in addition to leaving Watamu as a ghost town especially in low season.
I loved and appreciated the attention to detail and the beautiful artwork. I felt very nurtured at Zawadi House. The staff is wonderful - friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The owner is a wealth of information, not just locally, but all around Kenya and her tips are spot on.
Located in a quiet beautiful neighborhood between Watamu & Baracuda beaches, it is close to restaurants and shops.
There is a massage room just off the little swimming pool and I got a wonderful massage at a super reasonable price.
They have all services you could need, and the resort section of loungers on the beach means you are not haggled by "beach boys".
The staff are wonderful, and you will always have service.
Lovely, clean pools.
The beach is beautiful, the ocean warm, amazing location (aside from being a bit far and "separate" from Watamu)
Excellent breakfast buffet. Amazing cocktails.
Air-con in our room helped alot!
The resort and watamu are so safe, and an incredible tropical experience.
The location is amazing! Right by the creek so you can jump for a swim, canoe trip or bird watching.
The staff is the best, super caring and feels just like home- they will take care of everything with huge generosity.
They offer many activities such as cooking classes, building classes & tours of the area.
This place is totally genuine and gives you the real experience of Kenya’s beautiful nature and the great people hosting it.
Location was great, there was a private access road to to the beach, about 2 minutes walk, we loved the chef, he was cooking all the 3 meals on time and they were delicious , the house have a beautiful swimming pool not too deep children can swim with supervision, the staff were excellent and knowledgeable, overall it was fantastic, and I would recommend anyone who’s visiting watamu ,
I was fortunate to get a room with a sea view. While the rooms generally do face the sea, some are partially blocked by the palm trees. I enjoyed the beach. The hotel has arguably the best beach in Watamu. The biggest plus is access to the Islands between 6.30am to around noon during the low tide. All in all, its a great place. Oh, the hottest joint in town is next door, Papa remo.
The location is very good. It's close to the main Watamu shopping center and a few meters from the all-weather road. It is close to essential services - Gas station, Pharmacy, eateries, and a shopping mall. One can walk to the Beach too! The lady taking care of the facility - Anna- is such a kind soul. She consulted on our breakfast needs and checked constantly if we were fine.
friendly and helpful staff, in particular Lizzy and Benjamin. The whole compound and its surroundings had a good atmosphere and sufficient intimacy for a relaxed vacation and human interaction. After a visit to the Garoda hotel, we knew the difference: at the Watamu Beach Cottages we felt at home. Thanks also for the monkeys who entertained us for free.
Lovely place on the beach. Good food, some of the friendliest and most helpful staff we’ve seen in Kenya. Plenty of outdoor lounge areas, a beautiful pool and an outdoor self-serving kitchen. We stayed in the tent and with the breeze, shade and fan it was still one of the best and coolest nights of sleep we had. One of our favorite spots in Kenya!
This is a great, clean beach house right next to a lovely white sand beach. The water is pretty warm and there arent aggressive beach boys at the beach. There are tiki beach umbrellas on the beach that you can hang out under. The receptionist Safari was very nice as well.
The ambience was amazing, the breakfast was great. Don't leave without trying The cake!!!
The best part was the few moments with the host, she's very knowledgeable and interesting.would definitely go back. Very close to the beach!
Amazing host, excellent staff, beautiful space! Was there for one night but I wished I stayed longer. My stay was nothing but perfect. Thank you Andrea and team. Another plus, it's next to one of the best beaches in Watamu.
Everything about the place was amazing, from the host, the location, the facilities, everything. Strategic location allowing access to every beatiful scene Watamu offers.
An amazing place for a getaway stay.
the house is as described. it has air-conditioning which functions well, when there is electricity in Watamu.
The local team, led by Hasimi, were helpful and available when needed.
The pool was great, the food had a good variety, the location was fantastic, just in front of the beach. The resort was clean and the staff very helpful
