We had a fantastic time at Konsano. The private Onsen and dinner in our room were some of the highlights of our trip and they were very accommodating to our dietary requirements. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, special mention to our room clerk Etsuko who made us tea on arrival and served our meal. We were lucky enough to see Mt Fuji on our first day, and the rooftop footbath was much needed after all our exploring!

The most wonderful stay we have had in a hotel anywhere in the world. The staff in particular were amazing, so genuinely lovely, welcoming, efficient and helpful. We also enjoyed the beautifully prepared and delicious meals. The room itself was more like a suite, so roomy, comfortable and pretty. Then there was the cute bathroom overlooking the lake and Mt Fuji. We felt sad to leave and hope to come back one day soon. Many thanks for everything and also for the little gifts.

I felt so welcome and happy at Lakeside Hotel :). From my room I could see Mount Fuji clearly, and I loved that the room was Japanese style. You can also see Mount Fuji from the restaurant window when you're having breakfast and/or dinner. I ordered breakfast and I would recommend it to anyone (even for people who are used to Western breakfast), it was a-ma-zing. Also, the staff are just the sweetest most awesome people who are always happy to see you and will help you with anything, like picking you up from the station or bringing you to the station, even when it's a regular day and not the checkout day. From the hotel you can walk to the lake, to take the famous water+Fuji picture and near the hotel is a busstop for the sightseeing bus. It's also easy to visit the Chureito Pagoda, just take 1 train and walk there. The onsen was super relaxing as well. Honestly, I have nothing but praise, 100% recommended for sure. Hopefully I'll come back one day and then I'll book this hotel again :).
